I managed to pick up a small jar of the Glam Glow ThirstyMud Hydrating treatment in the checkout line (aka the aisle of doom, where money jumps out of your purse). Unfortunately I can’t quite remember how much it was but I have a feeling it was around the $19 mark. Glam Glow in general has received a lot of hype surrounding their masks and as I suffer with dry skin, I thought this one would suit me best.
To apply you just need to put a layer of the mask onto your face and let it sink in, after 15 minutes you can either wipe off any residue or rub it into the skin. As the price tag is pretty hefty I was quite sparse with the application and after the 15 minutes it had all pretty much sunk into the skin. This is a great mask to use when you’re taking a bath as it doesn’t need to be washed off and you can just relax and forget about it. Afterwards my skin felt soft and hydrated.
This is a really nice mask and does what it says on the tin but to be honest, I don’t think it’s worth the hefty price tag. If anything the price is stopping me from using it as I want it to last as long as possible and when I do use it I don’t use a huge amount. I get the same sort of results from the Origins Overnight Drink Up Intensive Mask which, even though still considered high end, is a fraction of the price. The full size is a pretty large amount of money, £49.99 from FeelUnique, here.
Have you tried any of the Glam Glow masks? What did you think?
