Review: Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadow

Whenever a drugstore brand brings out their take on creams shadows I have to go and pick some up. Max Factor are having their turn now and I picked up one pot of their Excess Shimmer eyeshadows.

The consistency of these is a more mousse like than other cream shadows I have tried but the lasting power is just as good. The shade I got is Copper and it’s a very shimmery (as you would expect from the name) light bronze colour with a lot of sliver running through it. In some light it’s a bronze colour and in other lights it’s silver. This is a great shadow to use by itself, really blended out (don’t go too crazy with the colour because you may end up looking like yo have disco balls for eyes) with lashings of mascara.

The staying power is pretty impressive but I did suffer from a bit of creasing after about 5 hours wear. This is a really lovely product but I think I prefer the Maybelline Colour Tattoos a tad more. You can pick these up from Boots here for £7.99 each with 6 shades to chose from.

Have you tried these? What’s your favourite cream eyeshadow?

Thanks for reading 🙂
