Review: Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I have a review of the original makeup sponge, the Beauty Blender here but I needed to find a cheaper alternative as you’e not supposed to keep them for very long. I didn’t want to have to spend nearly £20 every six weeks replacing a sponge that, even though is amazing, is quite frankly just a sponge.

Even though I don’t think I am ever going to find anything exactly the same as the Beauty Blender this comes pretty close. It’s very obvious when you dampen it that it isn’t as good quality as the Beauty Blender as it isn’t as smooth but I’m not one to grumble at that if it does the job intended, which it does. It soaks up a bit more product than the Beauty Blender and I have had a couple of days where my makeup has looked a bit off, which never seems to happen with the Beauty Blender. Pushing those issues aside these are great, they are a bit bigger and have a side that is flat that I find great for concealing. The price point is much better and you can also chose a pack of 2 like I did.

You can get these from Superdrug here for £9.99 for the pack of 2 and there is also a single pack avaliable. Even though I love my Beauty Blender to death this is an awesome drugstore priced alternative as it does pretty much the same job for a lot cheaper.

What’s your favourite makeup sponge?

Thanks for reading 🙂
